Botox in the frown area will relax the three muscles that create the horizontal and vertical lines across the frown area between the eyebrows. It is the area with the least risk to have Botox. The three muscles are depressors and thus freezing those will often create a brow lift and in some instances widen the distance between the brows.
It can help tension headache or in some instances migraines. It relaxes the area and so there is less of a tense feeling in that area.
The frown area is the easiest area to inject. The is a minimal risk of eyelid drop (ptosis) which
is only temporary. Initially, the freezing up of the
muscle can to some feel like a headache but rarely in this area. This is also the area with the
least risk of bruising.
