The Norup Clinic provides treatments with safe and high quality dermal fillers only, such as: Juvéderm - Volift range®, Radiesse® and Teosyal®.

Why have fillers?

The natural ageing process causes our bone structure to change and the fat depots either diminish or sink and go south. Sun damage and pollution cause a breakdown of the collagen and elastin in our skin and we loose the full and firm appearance. The skin becomes thinner and loses the elasticity, causing wrinkles, folds and sunken cheeks. This makes us look older and tired. Fillers help restore the lost volume to the face. It lifts deep folds and wrinkles and plumps up your skin. The Norup Clinic uses a wide range of fillers. She will assess your skin and discuss with you the advantages of each of the individual fillers so you together can make the right choice that suits your needs.

Cost

The Norup Clinic does not provide a standard price list per item for our treatments. You are, however, invited to come for a consultation with The Norup Clinic. You will then be given advice about the various treatments and together discuss the best options for you including cost, a realistic outcome and what the down time and risks are.

Dermal Filler Treatment Options

What is Belotero®?

Lip Enhancement Results in Esher Surrey
Lip Enhancement Results in Esher Surrey

Belotero® is a Hyaluronic acid which is one of nature’s most versatile and fascinating substances. It is found throughout the body as well as in most other living organisms. It has many functions, from giving the skin elasticity to lubricating joints. Hyaluronic acids can bind large amounts of water. Belotero® gives medium lasting treatment results, generally lasting six to twelve months.

Why have Belotero®?

It is a very soft and smooth filler. It is brilliant for a soft effect anywhere in the face including lips.

Belotero®# is especially effective for:
Superficial lines in compromising areas of the face
Under eye hollowing
Soft lifts in Jowls / Marionette lines / Sad lines
Lower face hydration / softening

What is Hydrating Filler?

A hydrating filler is a non low cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler. It is therefore lighter and thinner and does not do much volumising, if any. Its longevity is shorter than the “normal” fillers and it is used for its hydrating effect.

Why use a hydrating filler?

The Norup Clinic will often use a hydrating filler or even a non cross-linked hyaluronic acid in areas that seem dry or crepey where there is thin skin. It gives a subtle boost without looking obvious. A normal filler - even the lightest - would, in these circumstances, look lumpy.

Where is hydrating filler used?

The Norup Clinic would typically use hydrating filler under the eyes, in the décolletage, on the neck or lower cheek or even above the upper lip.

What are the risks?

The risks are as always with injections: bruising, allergy and infection.

What is Juvéderm®?

Naso-labial Lines and Jawline Results in Esher Surrey

Juvéderm® is a Hyaluronic acid, which is one of nature’s most versatile and fascinating substances. It is found throughout the body as well as in most other living organisms. It has many functions, from giving the skin elasticity to lubricating joints. Hyaluronic acids can bind large amounts of water. Juvéderm® gives medium to long-lasting treatment results, generally lasting six to twelve months.

Why have Juvéderm®?

In the Hyaluronic Acid group, Juvéderm® is one of the major players together with Restylane® and it is a well researched, long-standing filler on the market. It is produced by Allergan, the same company that provides Botox. There are a lot of choices with regard to consistency and it contains an anaesthetic component.

It is highly smooth with a very low risk of lumping. It is indeed a very nice filler to work with. Longevity is good and side effects very low. It is slightly more expensive but well worth it.

Juvéderm® is especially effective for:
Lip enhancement, volume and vermillion border
Cheeks / facial sculpting
Jowls / Marionette lines / Sad lines
Naso-labial groove
Lower face volumising

What is Radiesse®?

Cheek Enhancement Results Radiesse Dermal Filler in Esher Surrey
Radiesse Dermal FillerResults in Esher Surrey
Marionette / Sad Lines Radiesse Dermal FillerResults in Esher Surrey

Radiesse® is a longer-lasting injectable implant which is approved for correction of moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles.

Why have Radiesse®?

It is 100% biocombatible and degradable. It is non-animal or human and completely synthetic. It is made of calcium hydroxyl apatite particles, in a gel form. It delivers immediate effects and a delayed collagen production. It is highly viscous and therefore has an advantage in certain treatment areas requiring firmness. The grid lines are more rigid and will sustain more pulling and contracting from muscles, than other fillers. It is also more accurate and has benefits when creating a particular effect such as a brow lift or mid-face sculpting.

Radiesse® is especially effective for:
Cheeks / facial sculpting
Brow lift
Jowls / Marionette lines / SAD lines
Naso-labial groove
Mid face vectoring and lifting
Hands

How does Radiesse® work?

It acts as a filler initially. Over time the body’s foreign body cells, the macrophages, dissolve the filler / gel carrier and fibroblasts start to form new collagen at around four months. After about a year, the filler / gel is totally absorbed and new collagen has been developed. The treatment can last between 14 to 18 months, depending on your metabolism. Extreme stress, smoking and exercise will reduce the longevity.

What to expect?

First The Norup Clinic will apply a strong numbing cream, which needs to work for about 45 minutes and - if you wish - a dental block or a local infiltration. The skin is cleansed and the injections take about ten to fifteen minutes for one syringe.

Radiesse® contains an anaesthetic so the injections are quite pain free. There is an immediate result which will reduce about 30% over the next two weeks. Radiesse® is quite a firm filler and thus takes a little while to settle. Bruising may take place, mostly depending on which area is injected.

What is Restylane®?

Restylane® is a Hyaluronic acid which is one of nature’s most versatile and fascinating substances. It is found throughout the body as well as in most other living organisms. It has many functions, from giving the skin elasticity to lubricating joints. Hyaluronic acids can bind large amounts of water. Restylane® gives medium to long-lasting treatment results, generally lasting six to twelve months.

Why have Restylane®?

Restylane® was one of the first fillers to be used for medical cosmetic purposes. It has been well researched and it is very versatile. It can be used superficially, in the mid-dermis or deeper for volumising or for hydration. Restylane® is highly cross-linked, making it quite firm and lasting - thus a filler for the experienced patient. It is provided with an anaesthetic.

Restylane® is especially effective for:
Superficial lines
Mid-face volumising / contouring
Jowls / marionette lines and SAD lines, deep or superficial
All face, neck and décolletage hydration

What is Sculptra®?

Naso-labial Lines Results in Esher Surrey

Sculptra® is a Poly-L-lactic acid in a watery infusion, which is injected into the skin. The water is dispersed within a day or two and the PLLA particles stimulate the skin to produce new collagen, which leads to a natural thickening of the dermal tissue. It is not the particles/filler that create the increased volume, it is your own new collagen.

Two to four sessions of treatments are required and the collagen regeneration takes about four to six months to start showing and may have effect for more than three years. The product is eventually completely absorbed, leaving only newly plumped up skin.

Why have Sculptra®?

Sculptra® treatment is for patients who want to restore lost volume to sunken and sagging cheeks by activating growth of their own skin’s collagen. It is the only treatment that is purely a collagen stimulant without any added filler. It stimulates the collagen-producing cells in your skin and over time the skin produces natural collagen. The injected micro-particles are fully reabsorbed and the facial volume is restored gradually over the following months, whilst the skin produces the new collagen. The face and skin is plumped up and refreshed.

Sculptra® is especially effective for:
The temple area
Cheeks
Jowls
Naso-labial groove
Décolletage
Hands

Benefits
Replaces lost facial volume
Corrects deep folds, wrinkles
Increases dermal thickness
Long-lasting natural appearance with results that may last for over three years
Biocompatibility and biodegradable
No allergy testing
Used in Orthopaedic and Cranio-facial / Orbital surgery
Low degree of side effects
Non-Animal product

What is Teosyal®?

Hand Enhancement Results in Esher Surrey

Teosyal® is a Hyaluronic acid, which is one of nature’s most versatile and fascinating substances. It is found throughout the body as well as in most other living organisms. It has many functions, from giving the skin elasticity to lubricating joints. Hyaluronic acids can bind large amounts of water. Teosyal® gives medium-lasting treatment results, generally lasting six to twelve months.

Why have Teosyal®?

It is a versatile filler. It can be used for volumising in the mid-face, superficial lines and hydration. Teosyal® is a filler with a medium cross-linking making it soft yet stable. It is provided with an anaesthetic.

Teosyal® is especially effective for:
Under eye hollows
Superficial lines
Mid-face volumising
Mid-face sandwiching on top of Radiesse®
Jowls / marionette lines / SAD lines
Lower-face hydration / softening
Lips
Hands
Décolletage

What are Hyalase Injections?

Creating the best look can be a challenge and not every face looks the same. The face has dynamics and the skin reacts differently, so sometimes treatments need to be corrected.

How does Hyalase work?

Often clients see The Norup Clinic because they have had a less lucky experience and the treatment needs to be corrected. This needs a very sensitive approach as there are many reasons why it might have gone wrong. Clients that have had a bad experience are often very unhappy and nervous. It is important to restore their confidence with some predictable and subtle outcomes. Correcting is always a slow process in order to assess what went wrong.

Hyalase, an enzyme which breaks down fillers, is injected into the filler and the filler dissolves.

How are the Hyalase injections done?

Pre-injection photos are taken and a consent form and patch test is carried out. Hyalase has a high risk of provoking an allergic reaction. If the client is very unhappy, a corrective treatment can be performed at the same visit.

A strong numbing cream is applied and then Hyalase is injected into the area that has a lump or has been over-volumised. The injections take less than five minutes. The effect is instant and further reduction may be seen over the next 48 hours. A second or even third appointment may be needed.

What are the risks?

Hyalase injections are simple but may cause bruising and allergic reactions. The enzyme solution is small but very powerful and re-correction may be needed as potency and response may vary.
