Our medi-facials are not simply pleasant massage treatments with nice-smelling lotions; they are in an entirely different league to the typical beauty facial. They feature state-of-the-art techniques and use powerful products that are not available over-the-counter.

THE MEDI-FACIAL PROTOCOL

Developed by Dr Norup herself, our range of medi-facials is presented in the form of a progressive pathway to skin rejuvenation, beginning with gentler ‘foundational’ treatments and advancing to more efficacious treatments as your skin becomes stronger and more tolerant. Your medi-facial will include some of the following:

1. Pro-facial micro-suction cleanser
   This smart device extracts oil, dirt and dead skin cells gently and safely to a degree far greater than manual cleansing process can achieve, preparing the skin for a medi-facial or peel application.
2. Nano Plasma Shower
   Advanced plasma energy greatly enhances the effects of the treatment. The smooth head of the device is moved over the skin surface and feels pleasantly warm to the touch. The technique makes the skin ultra-receptive to serums that penetrate the skin layers and deliver nutrients right into the dermis. It triggers the body’s healing mechanism to generate new skin cells, elastin and collagen, and is also anti-bacterial and ideal for acne. Reduces pigment and inflammation.
3. DERMALUX LED – the world’s most powerful LED. Different wavelengths provide anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and regenerative benefits. By stimulating mitochondrial activity within skin cells, LED phototherapy increases cellular energy (ATP), which helps promote collagen and elastin production, improve healing and reduce inflammation. We use this as a standalone treatment for skin regeneration, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, and for hair growth, or as a supplementary add-on to our facials and peels.
4. Micro-needling
   The benefits of electronic microneedling (creating tiny channels in the skin) are well known in the field of aesthetic medicine. This method allows delivery of the treatment products deep into the skin layers to stimulate new cell production. The technique is highly effective but less comfortable than the Nano Plasma Shower, creating a prickly feeling on the skin as the device passes over. It may leave some redness for a few hours afterwards. Most of our patients find it entirely tolerable and love the results.
5. Powerful topical serums and active ingredients
   Once your skin is thoroughly cleansed and prepared, we apply potent treatments that feed the skin to heal, stimulate and rejuvenate skin health. The products used are individually selected to deliver the best results for your skin type and any skin concerns. It is a bespoke protocol.

Our Essential Medi-facials start with deep cleansing and exfoliation, effectively cleaning, calming, reducing inflammation, and helping to control sebum and oiliness. The treatments that follow will address your specific skin conditions – acne, rosacea, pigmentation, dry, dull, rough, patchy skin and more. The aim is to create the basis for a healthy skin barrier and promote natural skin healing.

These entry-level treatments are tailored to the severity of your individual skin problems/concerns. Once we have effectively re-built the skin barrier, we can safely progress to the higher levels of treatment. Taking safe and predictable steps towards healthy, strong skin is essential for everyone.
