Repair, revitalise and regrow your hair

Hair loss is a genuine concern for both men and women, particularly as we begin to age.

Seeing more hair than usual in the plug hole or on your hairbrush can be alarming. If you are becoming aware of hair loss either because you have noticed it when washing/ drying your hair or because it is very apparent when looking in the mirror, the good news is that there are now new treatments available to help.

What causes hair loss?

There are many reasons for a change in hair and scalp health that can lead to hair loss. Here’s just a few:

  • Hormonal changes and the menopause
  • Male or female pattern baldness (Androgenic Alopecia)
  • Stress and anxiety (Telogenic Effluvium)
  • Over or underactive thyroid (Hyperthyroidism)
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Auto immune conditions (Alopecia Areata)
  • Fungal infections
  • Harsh treatment of hair – use of strong hair products, over-heating and excessive styling, sun damage, pulling the hair back too tightly into a ponytail or bun.

THE CONSULTATION

We begin with a consultation to learn about you, your concerns about your hair, your lifestyle and so on, to establish a picture of the root causes of hair loss, receeding or thinning. If necessary we can perform blood screening to understand hormone or vitamin levels.

THE TREATMENTS

From this evaluation we can create a prescription for:

  • A bespoke topical application that may include products such as Minoxidil, Finasteride, caffeine, and Melatonin, all known to be effective in treating hair loss when applied to the hair follicles. To be used regularly at home.
  • At-home micro-needling treatments to nurture the scalp and activate the skin cells and follicles in preparation for further treatment.
  • In-clinic mesotherapy (10 sessions) to deeply stimulate the follicles beneath the dermis, utilising a combination of vitamins and bio stimulators to feed the hair follicles and encourage new growth.

The aim ultimately is to:

  • Soothe or heal the scalp – in preparation for treatment, especially where there is infection or flaking skin.
  • Stimulate hair follicles – to encourage them back into production.
  • Feed the cells – by providing the necessary nutrients.
  • Promote new hair growth – through at-home topical applications and in-clinic mesotherapy.
