PlexR – Felc Nano Plasma, the skin and eye lifting treatment

The Norup Clinic introduces the next generation Plasma Device

As we age, collagen and elastin decrease from the skin’s structure, causing the skin to become looser and less supported by the surrounding muscles. This can affect different areas of the face and body in different ways, forming lines and wrinkles or developing skin that droops.

What is Felc Nano Plasma?

Felc Nano Plasma is the most innovative Nano Plasma device in the aesthetics market to date. It is a completely safe and low risk treatment option for people seeking an alternative to more invasive surgical procedures. The treatment uses heat energy to ‘sublimate’ the skin, a process that tightens and shrinks the tissue of the concerned area and alters the physical state. Afterwards a visible ‘crust’ forms which gradually flakes off in a few days, giving a tightening and lifting effect and fresh new skin.

What areas does the procedure treat?

FELC Nano Plasma is commonly used to treat the skin around the eyes. It can also be used for the following:

  • Non-surgical blepharoplasty
  • Acne treatment (active acne and acne)
  • Scarring including stretch marks, acne scars and post-surgical scars
  • Skin lesions such as verrucas, xanthelasmas, fibromas, keloids, moles and warts
  • Tattoo removal of any colours
  • Mini facelift
  • Wrinkles and expression marks

It’s non-photosensitising, meaning that it doesn’t cause sensitivity to sunlight, and can therefore be used all year round, even during summer months.

What to expect during the treatment

Before
Dr Norup will carry out a consultation where she will analyse your skin tissue and explain the range of treatment options available, how many sessions it will take to achieve the desired result, and aftercare procedures. Before treatment, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied to minimise any discomfort.

During
During the treatment, tiny dark spots appear where individual touches are made with the Felc Nano Plasma device, or there may be a larger patch where an area has been ‘sprayed’ with plasma. The dark spots flake off over the following days and the larger patches will heal within a similar period (up to 2 weeks).

After & down time
Immediately after, the treated area(s) will be quite red. Swelling and mild discomfort is common after the treatment, especially around the eyes and normally lasts up to 3 days. The crusts formed should not be touched for 5 – 7 days except to camouflage them with mineral foundation or concealer.

When will I see results and how long will it last?

Skin folds and creases will immediately appear lifted and tightened/reduced and the area treated will continue to improve for up to 3 months after the Felc Nano Plasma treatment. Final results depend upon the patient’s general skin condition, the severity of skin laxity, size of the lesion, or any pre-existing skin or medical problems, and also the number of treatments.

The treatment can be combined with Botox for preventing further lines and it can also be combined with Profhilo to enhance skin elasticity and collagen stimulation.
